About the Author
She Had No Handbook.
What She Had Was Enough.
Born in the United Kingdom. Raised in Nigeria. Shaped by a Kingmaker.

Tope Opedun
Husband. Father. Minister. Son of a Kingmaker.
Tope Opedun was eighteen months old when his father left. His mother did not collapse. She carried him back to Nigeria and raised him alone with prayer, grit, and an unshakeable refusal to let the world write her son's story for him.
It was not easy. There were seasons of living with extended family, the steady hands of aunties, uncles, and a grandmother who stepped in when the weight was too heavy for one woman. There were also darker seasons, years under the roof of a stepfather whose presence brought pain, not protection. Tope survived it all. Not because he was extraordinary, but because his mother was.
She was supportive when he needed shelter. She was dogged when he needed discipline. She was open to correction when she got it wrong. And she prayed, relentlessly, over a son she was determined to see stand tall.
At twenty, Tope returned to the United Kingdom alone. He enrolled in Biomedical Science, paid his own fees, worked through every semester, and built a life from nothing but the foundation his mother had laid. Every sacrifice she made became the fuel for his discipline. Every word she spoke became the architecture of his character.
Today, Tope is a husband to Rafia, father to a daughter and a seventeen-year-old son who is a responsible, grounded young man. He is a minister at Kharis Ministries, a singer-songwriter, and a praise and worship leader.
He Has Lived Both Sides
As the Son
As the boy raised by a single mother, he knows what it feels like to carry the weight of an absent father, to wrestle with identity, and to be shaped by a woman who refused to let him fall.
As the Father
As a father raising a son, he has taken every lesson, every scar, every principle his mother instilled, combined them with two years of dedicated research into neuroscience, psychology, and child development, and built a system that works.
The proof is in his own home. The findings in this book did not come from theory alone. They were tested on his own son, used alongside his wife to raise a young man of character, discipline, and purpose. This book took two years of research and observation to write.
The Kingmaker Protocol is the book he wished his mother had, written by the son she raised without one.
Dedicated to Doyinsola Opedun
And to all the Kingmakers like her.
"You are the head, not the tail."
She named his destiny before he could spell it.
"A King does not beg. He works."
She built his work ethic with words, not force.
"I am not raising a boy. I am raising a man."
She refused to let the world define his ceiling.
Every word in this book exists because of her. She was the original Kingmaker.
One Million Kingmakers
The mission is simple: equip one million mothers with the language, tools, and community to raise their sons into men of character, discipline, and purpose.
